Sole traders and landlords who have signed up for Making Tax Digital for Income Tax can now access the service through their existing HMRC online account. By selecting the service, users can view tax estimates, check reporting deadlines, update business details, and manage payments. If the service is not visible, users can add it manually by selecting the option to add a tax to their account. Once registered, taxpayers must begin creating digital records of their income and expenses to submit quarterly updates.
