Importers, customs agents, and businesses can now use an online service to claim back security deposits or guarantees for goods imported under Temporary Admission, inward processing, authorised use, or where proof of origin was initially unavailable. To use this service, you must be subscribed to the Customs Declaration Service and provide your import Movement Reference Number along with relevant supporting documentation. Claims must be submitted within specific timeframes depending on the type of import, ranging from four months for proof of origin cases up to the end of the authorised period for other categories.
